SOLAR POWERED ILLUMINATED MAGNIFIER FOR ARTISANS

REQUIREMENT

Artisans produce a lot of items with intricate designs and craftsmanship. Their work space is usually indoors and a good illumination is important for their work. As the artisan ages his eyesight starts becoming weak and he needs brighter light and some magnification if possible. Electricity plays an important role for illumination and absence of it hinders production. Absence of bright light and some amount of magnification leads to many artisans unable to produce intricate goods or thay may abandon the profession itself. A equipment was designed keeping in view all these requirements. The equipment had a built in 'flat' lens fresnel magnifier, a bright LED illuminating source and an independent power battery pack which was charged by solar energy. The equipment is a Low cost, light weight, and fully portable system.

TARGET AREA / POPULATION

The target area for this system is for all artisans involved in intricate work like Gold smiths, Craftsmen, Embroidary, Inlay workers etc.
