PRE FABRICATED TOILET KITS FOR THE DISABLED

REQUIREMENT

Physically disabled population have a lot of challenges for their mobility. They encounter barriers in movement and have to overcome these barriers through use of ramps, railings, etc. The use of a toilet poses a challenge to the disabled due to barrier of entry, reach of taps, seating on the commode and other issues like turning around etc. Toilets must be specially designed and contstructed for the disabled, many a times there are no proper designs / plans to execute such toilets and even a specifically constructed toilet becomes non- usable.

A design was evolved to make 'ready to use' prefabricated toilet in the form of a 'kit' with all parameters of a barrier free use in mind. These kits are easily shiftable, transportable and can be erected 'in situ' in a very short time, only inlet water connection and outlet sewage connections are required. The product helps to make the use of toilets almost barrier free for the disabled.
